Final results!

Not sure there's much point me posting htese as there so little difference you wont be able to see any change really!

Weight 2lbs lost
Inches 2 inches overall

Not sure why i cant line the first two up - but as I said not a huge difference!

The thing is though even though i look no different, there are still changes, my supplementation is now working, effective and regular, nutrition whilst I generally follow Ed principles 80% of the time it has become normal to me now, and what I mean by that is when i first heard of the ED and tried it last year it seemed like I was cutting out things that i enjoyed or maybe just wanted to eat, each time less items have come back into my diet on the whole, I used to be a carb queen although this didnt seem to contribute to my weight gain really but meals were quite carb based so I'd always have potatoes or rice or pasta, now I rarely have pasta and if i do i feel horrible after so it no longer has much appeal, I still love ptatoes in every shape and form but i would now have a tiny amount and i dont miss them in meals if i dont have them, i used to drink 5-10 cups of tea a day and now only have 1 or 2 max and having introduced rooibos tea only a month ago I now dont really enjoy normal tea as much so will stick to the rooibos with a splash of organic skimmed milk!

Yesterday we had a celebration evening at our Obesity Project course as an end for the families, this was an hour of street dance which was fun and i dont think i'll be joing the Black Eed Peas backing dancers anytime soon but hey it was fun! Then we had a healthy picnic NHS style which is quite tricky to make it a treat for the kids yet healthy (NHS style) i repeat that as it is far from the ED! So we had a variety of low fat dips, hummus, tzatziki, salsa etc with breadsticks, low fat crisps (cardboard) cold hams and chicken, pittas, babybell cheeses, some low fat yoghurts, fruit - strawberries, cherries, pineapple chunks and the tiny bite sized pieces of flapjack and baby gingerbread men! - I should just mention that we had no prep area and had to literally use ready prepared items or it could have been alot better!

So I dipped a mini breadstick in the hummus (I love hummus) I tried a low fat crisp which i just thought why bother it tastes of nothing and the textrure was like cardboard! Give me my cashews anyday! I picked on a few bits of chicken and couldnt stop on the cherries once i started they were so sweet and juicy, had a few strawberries and then for some reason thought id have a bite of the flapjack - I had to discreetly spit it out it just tasted of pure sugar and it just shows me how my taste buds have changed and how I now view food especially when its the low fat/diet crap which doesnt resemble real food at all! Ive never gone along with diet food however seeing it and trying it just confirms to me that natural wholesome food is what should make up most of our diets - things I would now consider treats would be a few roast potatoes with my dinner or the odd piece of good quality dark chocolate!!

So even though the scales dont go where I want them too I have to thank Dax for such a great nutritional plan which if nothing else provides me with good health - I rarely get colds or illness and that at the end of the day is worth it all!

Last MAP day

Wow the month has come to an end - it seems to have flown by - I'd love to thave the luxury of doing this whilst not working or doing school runs etc etc and just devoting all my time to myself and fitness and nutiriton I really think a massive difference could be made in that instance - as usual i am juggling it all and probably not making massive progress is any one aspect but ticking over on them all - how do people make huge success with everything surely something has to give somewhere?

I am going to miss the discipline, motivation and accountability but wont miss the 4 workouts and guilt if you cant fit them all in! I wont miss the specific dietry changes but will enjoy being able to encorporate them into my lifestyle that suits my body - I know low carb didnt agree wth my pms but is fine when im over it! I am taking new supplements so will see how this month goes!

Looking forward to some new workouts as having done this 3 times now whilst some i love, some i'm bored of now! its all about variety so that is why i enjoy reboot and only doing 2 a day that will seem easy!!!

Off to do my own workout now in the garden trying out a new one before tomorrows client gets it! then its cookery session with the obese families this afternoon - all good fun!!!

Always playing blog catch up!

The one thing i find it hard to fit in is the blogging! I have so many things to do with the 4 sessions, work, my own PT business, family kids etc nd blogging is the bottom of my list - I have even cancelled some online subscriptions to other sites I have in order to free up some time to fit it all in!

Anway - finally feeling back on track, hormones settled down, the weather is beautiful, i feel slimmer even though the scales are refusing to budge at all and the measurements seem more or less the same! Im going to keep this up for a further week to 10 days as I think my body doesnt work for me during those week to 10 day sof PMT so i am going to keep going to actually try and get a result of some description!

Exercise is still tough fitting it in and with this hot weather i just melt as soon as i start! It is however very easy to drink gallons of water!!!

Just a quick catch up as now off for workout 1!

Weekend update!

Not blogged as just been feeling horrible, this is the worst PMT i think ive ever had!! Thankfully today it is all over - not that i should be happy to have totm but at least all the grumpiness shoudl go - strabgely the supplements havent helped at all - i dont feel as bloaty as usual and havent had sore boobs or anything but have been in a vile mood so nto nice - sweet cravings were terrible so i have to admit to not carb cycling over the weekend but just eating cleanly ED style as i needed some sweetness form sugar so had fruit - the extra stress of craving stuff wasnt worth it so i gave my body what it wanted (well my head was telling it chocolate but i made it do with raspberries and strawberries and a kiwi)

My knee is feeling better today so hopefully the normal exercise can resume today - will report later!

Sleep is still the nightmare in my life - I have been doing everything right, no tv (so bored of the football - although Brazil were great maybe if we could play like that i wouldnt want to drop off) i took all my supplements, read in the bath and in bed and got my early night - all sounding good?? wen toff like a light then my OH who is suffering from terrible hayfever is up from abut 3pm sniffing, sneezing and getting up and down for the next few hours - i cant win when i finally get my own sleep sorted someoen else wakes me up!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Took my son to school today feeling half drunk/half still alseep !

Ok enough of my moaning - at least if i air it here i will keep the negativity off the boards!! Hope evryone else is doing better than me!!!!

Wed & Thurs

Not the best 2 days, am feeling very hormonal, tired and ratty! PMT is upon me and I am not sleeping and craving badly!

I find I go to bed and drop off then wake up and thats it then toss and turn all night, this is added stress as I know how important the sleep is arghhhhh!!

My client came back from honeymoon and told me her grandad has passed away whilst she was away and that he had obviously hung on in there to see her married! have to say it brought tears to my eyes! thanks hormones!!! Today I have had a banging headache all day and that combined with the heat (very hot down here today) and a unruly rude and out of control teen in our group this afternoon just about finished me off! And he was only 1 of 2 that bothered to turn up!!

I have to admit to not getting all the workouts in today, I did the first one when i got up, then ive worked non stop ever since so will get one more done before down time! However I was active all afternoon we had racquets session and were chasing stray tennis balls, shuttlecocks and speeders all over the courts! Speedminton is a fab game, it was a little windy though and the paper balls we had and normal shuttlecocks just made it impossible! I also twisted my knee so not really my day today!!

Food wise, yesterday was heaven with the carbs back again - i had my fave greek yog and berries, tuna steak and salad and chicken and veg with new potatoes, today with flagging energy and these flippin cravings i have had eggs, eggs and more eggs, had some lovely mushrooms for dinner cooked in the coconut oil with my eggs - i was just too tired and couldnt be bothered to cook a whole meal just for me as no one else was hungry! read today that apparantly free range eggs now have more pollutants in them than battery eggs!!! well my lovely chickens eggs taste fab and i dont think i will ever be able to eat a supermarket egg again so tastless in comparison!  Really what rubbish will they come up with next!

There's lots of arguments and discussions going on both on here and WLR at the mo and quite honestly i am too tired and grumpy to get too involved! I also have lots going on in my own personal life right now which is taking up alot of my emotional time so I could do without any more dischord!

Anyway that is my moan over - looking forward to getting totm out of the way so i can have my energy back and hopefully se some results!!

Tuesday

Got alot of exercise in today - made the most of a lovely sunny morning did workout 1 then went for a nice walk with a friend and the dogs, lunchtime saw the second workout and after working this afternoon am finally back to do this evenings, am going to make it the power circuit as its the most  relaxing and im shattered!
Feeling tired today and the low carb feeling is catching up with me - cant wait for tomorrow and fruit and yoghurt - i find that my sweet fix and am craving something tonight badly!

Time is flying cant believe we are nearly half way through the second week! Not weighing or measuring until the weekend as it is so slow with me that i want to wait a bit otherwise i'll get disheartened!!

Catch up Friday, Sat, Sun & Mon

All going ok - the weekend was a bit of a washout as i didnt start the carb cycling sunday as we were away and i didnt have internet access so did know when it was starting - although in the scheme of things i managed ok - we went for a world cup bbq - i had a jacket spud on saturday as i couldnt face the asda economy sausages burgers and chicken drumsticks - there wasnt a salad leaf or tomato in sight! I drank my water but later in the evening when i was freezing i succumbed to a cup of tea!
Sunday i had a roast chicken dinner as it was a birthday pub lunch - it was lovely a whole chicken breast, cualiflower, brocolli and carrots (all steamed) and 3 roast potatoes - we did nt eat until 3pm so i didnt eat again, I had taken with me my greek yog and raspberries for brekkie so although not that low carb it wasnt that high either!

Yesterday Monday was my forst true low carb day - i do struggle on this - i rely on my fruit and yog for snacks and a sweet fix, so as the shopping was low yesterday i didnt actually eat alot, I snacked on cashews throughout the day and drank my water and redbush tea, for dinner I had a chicken breast, brocolli, green beans and a few carrots!

Exercise wise i like the pyramid so am enjoying putting that one back in - may mix it all up a bit today (Tues) with some reboot sessions too for a change - off to do todays now :-)
